Where is your wedding taking place?
Our wedding will be held at Oakwood Creek Celebrations.
2804 Washington St, Julian, CA 92036
It used to be an antique furniture store, but has been converted into is in a venue space! The moment we stepped into the space, we knew that we wanted to get married here.
How do we get to your wedding venue?
The venue sits in the heart of town, so once you are in Julian, you can walk everywhere! See our "travel" page for details on which airpot to fly into, how get to Julian, and what to do while you are in town.
Is there a dress code?
"Spring-time semi-formal" is what we're calling it! The ceremony, cocktail party, dinner & reception will be held outdoors. During the cocktail party and reception, there will an indoor space guests will have access to, but dress accordingly to outdoor weather. We suggest to bring a light jacket, for the evening up in the mountains can get slightly chilly!
Ladies: Semi-formal dress or pantsuit/jumpsuit in a spring color palette. If you are thinking of wearing heels, the thicker the better, due to the loose gravel on the ground in the venue.
Gents: Dress pants, dress shirt, and a suit or sports jacket paired with dress shoes is a great option. Suits are also welcomed! Casual denim/ Hawaiian shirts are not recommended.
Can I bring a plus one?
Our venue, Oakwood Creek has limited space and capacity. Therefore, only the names addressed on the invitation are formally invited to our wedding.
What's the bar situation?
We will provide a beer & wine bar for our guests in addition to non-alcoholic beverages and coffee.
Can we take photos during the ceremony?
We’ve hired a photographer and we’d love to have photos with no phones or devices in them. Please put away your cameras and phones during our wedding ceremony.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin at 4:00, so we suggest to find your seats between 3:30-3:45. If you are staying in town, you should not have any trouble walking over to the venue space. However, if you are driving, there is public parking up the hill from the venue at 2001-2099 4th St, Julian, CA 92036.
What is the timeline for the BIG day?
4:00- Ceremony
4:30-5:30- Cocktail Hour
5:30- Reception Begins!
6:00-8:00- Dinner (Served buffet style for 2 hours)
6:00-10:00- Dance the night away!
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, no. Due to the venue capacity, the guest list is limited to family and friends explicitly listed on the invitation. We are excited to celebrate with the people closest to us.
